Injector question?

I have always thought that s4 cars were all low imped, but if I read correctly an 88 s4 turbo has high imped. I'm ready to buy new injectors but want to get this straight so I get the right stuff. Is that right?

This is in the FAQ. '86-'87.5 are low impedance regardless of model.

I know what the FAQ says I had always thought for as long as I have owned rotaries that s4 was low imped no matter the year then I just happened to notice that the FAQ said 88 was high imped I wanted to make sure before I go spend 100 plus on something just to find out I bought the wrong crap, I'm looking to get some 720cc injectors and want to make sure I get the right stuff

OK, so what does your multimeter read when you test the resistance of your fuel injectors as per the factory service manual page 4B-75?

I have an s4 with high imp injectors.... mind you I also dont have the resistor pack and im running a different pressure sensor and whatnot, you best bet is to check the resistance on the injector so you dont get the wrong crap. Its very easy, check the fsm

If the car is an '88 (and it has the original injectors), low impedance 720cc injectors will require resistors to be spliced in.

check the numbers on your current injectors to verify low or high imp.

Using a multimeter helps too but it's far easier to just look up the numbers.....

For what its worth i have a 88'n/a gtu and the injectors are high imped but reading the manual as well as doing an ohm test is always good
