Can I block off the Pulsation Dampener?
Without affecting the car at all?

I saw those posts at the bottom of the page when I logged on to your thread. There are two distinct views on that, and I think they are expressed in those threads. You might have read them....might not have. IF you have not, you might read them while awaiting an answer to your question.

I wouldn't think about running without mine.......unless I was in the boonies and it gave out and I had the parts to install a work around to get back home.

I looked at the Marren PD, some of the people said there will be retrofitting, what kind of retro fitting are we talking about? Some talked about using a FPR, where would I hook that up to? My existing PD is leaking and I may end up buying the Marren PD. I'm just interested in the FPR idea too. I would have to block off the existing PD if I go the FPR route right?

I went to Mazda and they have discontinued the OEM PD's, the last one they sold was around $175. I was wondering which is the easiest and cheapest way to go without sacrificing integrity?

There's a thread that has just recently been moved to the archives with an excellant discussion on the pulsation damper. Give it a read, then make your own informed decision.

I have ran my 88 convertible for years without a PD with no problems at all. When I had my 91 coupe I replaced the PD on it with one from a 85-91 Mazda MX-6 they are the exact part number and also cost much less at the dealer since they are for the MX-6

The point was for FC3STruboII13B, the old part# was discontinued and replaced with a new one.

I honestly suggest you read up on the threads that have been started on this. There are two differing opinions on the value of the stock and aftermarket pulsation dampers. You'll have to decide for yourself which party you agree with.

all the arguments aside... I had a BAD lean situation a7 3.7k RPM no matter WHAT is did to the fuel curves or fuel pressure when i was running SS lines and no PD.... Put the PD on and it went away.... i had to take fuel OUT in most areas of the fuel maps after putting it in.....

I'm sold that the PD performs a necessary function.... removing it might not have adverse effects on some cars that haven't been modified.... but the datalogs with the wideband didn't lie... it would go from 11.75 at 3500 RPM to 14.9 at 3750 RPM and then back to 11.5 after 4K RPM.... and it didn't matter how high the pressure was or how high I jacked up the fuel map in that range.... under boost it caused detonation, under vac, it stuttered and hitched...

Put the PD on and that blammo.. no fluctuations in the A/F's (well... it went dog rich from 3.5 to 4K untill i took the fuel out that i had been dumping in to compensate for the lean condition...)

old rubber fuel lines can also act as a pulsation damper by the flexing of the line itself under pressure, i think this is why some guys get away with it....

That should be added to that other thread. This is very important data. I heard abou the rubber lines bulging as well.
