LIM question

ok, just curious how many bolts are holding it on, and what all i REALLY have to take off to get it out... not what the FSM says.. because well, the fsm is only usefull in some situations, and this isnt one of them.... (it's dark and i gotta get this done ASAP like in the next 2 -3 hours have it all off, cleaned aux actuators, check all my vac lines, etc. and put it all back on)... so please help ..

UIM is off... just wanted to know the bare minimum to get the LIM out, i got most everything i can see that would hold it up, the oil line, vac, etc.. just wondering if there is anything under it that i cant see, or something attatched to the actuators that i cant see (im working with a flashlight)

thanks,
alan

ah....well...you should be able to pop the bolts off now....It's been a while since I pulled a LIM off so bear with me...

IIRC, your EGR valve needs to be disconnected also (if you have an EGR...)

i just got the 4 main bolts off (i think) the ones on the bottum were so damn hard to find, just hope they were the right ones, ended up having to find them with no light at all, socket on > then the extension > droped them ##!! times, but finally got them off, but the LIM isnt budging at all, hopefully the gasket is sticking

There are 4 bolts and 2 nuts holding the LIM to the engine. The 4 bolts are along the outside while the 2 nuts are in the middle. The nuts are right above the Exhaust Manifold/Header bolts.
