I came home today and had 3 packages waiting for me. First, there was this V-Mount intercooler setup I bought from need-a-t2. It's a GodSpeed intercooler that ready to mount up to the stock turbo and can be easitly modified for an upgraded turbo.

The set-up came with this TurboXS blow-off valve and Higgi throttle body elbow. Also came with the piping and clamps. Sweet deal for me! I probobly won't put this on just yet, but I couldn't pass up the offer.

I also ordered a new clutch master cylindar and slave cylidar. This came from SpooledupRacing.
Also, pictured above are some used stock injectors I got from boost_its_what_for_dinner. They are 550 cc high impedence injectors.

Haven't touched the car in a week. I've been waiting for these parts to come in.

Basically, I couldn't shift because the clutch hydraulics were ****. Also, one of my stock injectors started leaking from the top.

Should be able to make some real progress now.

You should sell me those gold BBS wheels. I have a pair and I've been looking for another two to complete my set.

i probobly would sell em to you. They don't have any rubber on em. I'll either get some tires for them, or wait till I have some extra $$ and buy the rims I really want.

I'll let you know when I want to sell em.

car is home. I hope the tuning goes well Nolan.

I went out tuning last night, on the 303. The car is running pretty smooth without the turbo. It's pretty slow, but feels great. There are a a couple dead spots in low gears. All that will be worked out with Motec's auto tune.

We'll be tuning with the turbo tomorrow!!!!!!!

sweet project.... just went through the whole build.... very well done! have you finalized your decision on the oil coolers? didnt see anything concrete on that yet....

just in case, heres what guitarjunkie28 had planned for mine...... duel fc oilcoolers basically stacked on top of each other, and run in a parralel setup.... he said w/ that setup, id never have any overheating issues....this is a very vague description, but if you want more info, just pm me!

keep up the good work!

thanks Vipers. Sorry to hear about your ride. Takes so long to hook these up correctly, and then to have to do it all again...

I am gonna stick with the oil system mods that we've done already and see how that effects the oil temps. Then, once I go big turbo, I'll start looking at other options.

I do like the idea of stacking two FC oil coolers, but, will that block the radiator?

You can also do an FD oil cooler inline with the FC one. The FD one is much smaller, and it'll give you that lil extra cooling you'll find pretty nice.

He's still breaking the motor in I believe.

If you want to learn more about the oil cooler setup, send a PM over to -=Lil Red=-, he's always bored =)

I haven't tried the throttle cable thing, but I did get mine to work. There was a snag in there and I freed it. Works perfect now.

Found a leak on the coolant line between the turbo and the LIM. Guess I forgot to tighten it. That's gonna be a quest to fix...

Nolan, the NA mode was still pretty jumpy. Too many dead spots. We may get to do turbo tuning tonight.

I did drive the car to work today. Ran great. It's a little hot with out AC, but that's in the works.

EGT's averaged about 1000, water temps were about 190.

Macz, Motor was broke in after 20 miles. I have a balanced assembly, new rotor housings, and the motor has been clearenced. No reason to break it in any more than that.

Shouldn't be too hard to fix that leak, hopefully it's just a tightening issue.

WOW, just pushed 20 lbs with the waste gate rod disconnected. That **** is scary. I gotta do something to tame the boost.

We got some tuning done tonight under boost and it went well. The water temps stayed at a solid 190 all night. EGT's never passed 1400.

The boost is an issue. There has gotta be a lot of pressure before the turbo. I may need to explore the option of adding a stock manifold modified with a wastegate.

i know, it was scary. it's not helping after about 12 psi. that little turbine just gets too hot.

I may be going to the junkyard this weekend. If there's one there, I'll grab it. I never see FD's at the junk yard tho, and that is the one I'd really like to add.

My oil temps are pretty stable tho. I've got quite a few oil mods on this motor. Reliability was my first priority.

i've personally seen the two stacked on top of each other with custom lines. cheaper to do it with the FC units, you can reuse the stock lines just add custom ones for the second core. plus the core itself is cheap.
