Premix Task

I am getting ready to make the plate that covers where the OMP used to be. I was wondering if I am supposed to empty the oil from the engine or just take the OMP off. The engine has not been start for a couple of weeks. This may be a dumb question but I have not seen it in the threads.

Just take it off. No oil spillage from the pan will occur.

I use a jig saw and a die grinder or dremel. Just take the OMP off and use it to trace a shape on your blank. Then cut it out. Drilling the holes can be tedious to get just right but it obvious how to do it. Use a good silicone sealer. Don't use a ton just a good even layer. Let it set up for several minutes (so that it just starts to form a skin) before itstalling it. Easy stuff.
