Power Steering Questions

I have a 1989 JDM turbo 2 and i can hear my power steering whining whenever i start up the car. My question is does anyone know if a USDM will work for mine or do i need to find a JDM one to replace it?

That pump looks exactly the same as the LHD pump.

But, have you checked the bearing on the idler pulley? Very common for those to sing at startup and then quiet down as they begin to wear.

That actually does sound similar to what i am seeing. Right at startup it sings and groans as i pull out(lol) but whenever I'm driving or about to park i don't hear it.
