alright, quick question, I got rid of my power steering pump a while ago to fit my intercooler piping. Now i want my power steering back, but i cant find my pump so I am going to purchase a new pump and relocate it so it will fit under my piping, I read up on relocating it and found you can use your A/C bracket and fab it to lower the location of the pump.
another thing to add, I have an S5 turbo motor in an 86 GXL. When reading the descriptions of the pumps on ebay they stated that s4 pumps have speed sensitive steering and it will not fit a s5 motor. So what pump woulld i buy, an s4 one? or an s5 one? im confused and wanna get the ball rolling so please help me out.

Ok,you need whatever the car is,series wise.Like s4,then an s4 Pump,etc.
the S4 and the s5's pweer steering are different.Just off the top of my head, there are TWO hoses on one,and 3 on another(not sure which).
the Power steering and the A/C use the Same Bracket.the only "relocation" I can think of would be to Mount the Steering Pump LOWER on the engine,by cutting the Bracket.
You 'should have" looked at the Pro's and Con's of the FMIC before you did this. There are some FMICs' that allow you to retain the Power steering.(like the Corksport FMIC).But Too late now huh?..
But I wish you luck.alot of Guys would Kill for Manual steering.(not me,I like Street driving and Coffee,so Power steering for me!)

The plumbing is different as is the electrical, so like wings said, whichever car you have, that's the pump that you need.
Me, I de-powered my powersteering rack the right way and have ZERO complaints at all even using a smaller than stock steering wheel. The only time you need to put a little effort into it is at ridiculously slow speeds.
