Power steering question??
I just acquired a 86 base and a 86 sport. The total for both were $300 dollars. The base I know does not have power steering but to my understanding has some sort of assist right? Well, when I first drove it, I had one hell of a time turning the steering wheel. The sport has bad seals and I was looking to move the power steering over or if I can just fix the manual rack. Which would be better? Also, is the manual rack very responsive?

yeah, you shoulp prolly fix your manual rack, cause im driving an 87 with a PS rack without PS, and its not a real problem, except in parking lots. But my muscles are getting bigger now, so i guess that's another advantage. but definly check out the rack, and switchover the PS pump if you really want to. The manual rack iirc is less responsive becasue you have to turn it more lock to lock to steer the same amount as a PS. BUT the manual rack is easier. Like i said i dont really have a problem driving a PS rack manually, i can still drive with 2 thimbs or my knee if needed. (hot coffee)
