Is it possible to boost without intercooler?
I've read this on one of the threads and I just wanted to know if this is really possible and at what safe PSI?

Ummmm.... Safe? The answer to that will vary, but most people will probably say about 5psi is safe without an intercooler. I wouldn't run anything without a intercooler. Are you thinking about turboing an N/A? If so, many people might think that 5 psi is pushing it.

So it is possible then. I'm just curious about it that's why I asked. I won't take the risk of not running an intercooler if I will ever add turbo to my NA

depends on the boost level, but pretty hot. I think the intercooler brings the air from the mid 200's to the mid 100's, and that's the stock top mount!
It's even more important on an N/A, that higher compression ratio makes detonation prevention very important.

Don't be lazy. If you going to all the effort to add a turbo, don't just do half a job. You'll regret it when either (a) you realise you've reached the project's low power potential, or (b) you don't realise and blow it up...
