Question porting intake manifold?

i have a ported engine from atkins rotary.
I was looking at the intake manifold and the ports on it are smaller than the ones on the engine. I was wondering if i were to port them to the size of the enignes ports if i would get a bit more HP? any information would be helpful.

I would imagine that the odd and abrupt transition in port sizes alone must be sapping a bit of horsepower, let alone the fact that the port sizes are smaller in your manifold that the block. Port matching is definitely in order.

LOOK MAN it took me three seconds to TYPE "INTAKE PORTING" At which point I found: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=79511

You could have done the same and not waisted or bumped down other usefull threads and further clutered the other stuff on the forum.

I sent all of the pics I had to a number of people, many of whom said they would host them. But if anyone is serious about hosting the pics, and adding them to the archived thread, send me a PM with your email address, and Ill send you the zip file with my pics.

I want those pics...I can't host them but still want them VERY MUCH. kix_2@hotmail.com

Have you ever thought of putting them up on http://www.imagestation.com before??? It's free, if they're too big (aka take too long to load) just change them to .jpg files.

port matching is a very good idea. from what i have heard port matching on an na makes a larger performance difference than an aftermarket exhaust. plus with an na you need all the help you can get

Ohhh the irony, why must you continue the social hierarchy.

You do know that you were once a newbie to, RIGHT.

Or are you oblivious to that fact?
