i have a stock 88 TII
with 108K

she starts fine when shes cold, once the engine gets hot when you let off the gas the engine back fires (loud pops) and alot of smoke pours out, and it woant hold idel and will just stall and if i try and start the car back up it woant start. (it holds idel when its cold but woant only when you take it for a hard run)

what could all this be from

Whoa... ok... start with the basics, check compression, replace plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter. Set your TPS!!!, check your BAC, check for vacuum leaks.

That should fix her up.

 

could it have anything to do with the battery and the battery termanls. becuase i know there bad.

any tips on checking for vacume leaks gonna do a search on that. that and setting the TPS

 

what's the color of the smoke? You may be flooding out.

 

white smoke. im not sure what it smells like.
