please help compression question..

just wondering if there is a way to rebuild compression in a motor. Because i have 115 psi in the back rotor and 50 in the front but the car runs great boost fine only thing it floods when try and start it.
and if i run it like this will it damage the motor??

You can't really fix this problem without taking the engine apart. Hard parts inside the combustion chamber need to be replaced.

50psi is the lowest I've ever heard of, but at worst you have an already done the damage to the front housing\rotor.

how in the hell?

I assume you have a bad oil injector and or lines.

Start premixing and see if anything changes. More than likely the engine is toast and needs a rebuild.

You could use atf but i prefer sea foam over that stuff. I would guess with that much difference between chambers you have either the leakiest fuel injector in the world up front or you have a bad oil injector.

Run 1 oz per every 2 gallons of gas. Maybe a little more.

bad injector or lines??? his front rotor has no compression thats the problem, sorry dude your motor is basically toast. theres no way of fixing it without taring the entire motor apart and replacing things

that much

and also since theres still about half the normal compression at least you haven't blown an apex seal. if your engine isnt burning a ton of oil or coolant or something it still might be ok. I personally don't know what would be wrong with it, but it seems to me that this could be a fuel problem like others have suggested.

im 18....
If it doesnt leak coolant (no excessive white smoke when the car is running) that mean ur coolant seal is still good
Burning oil is normal unless ur loosing 1qt of oil everytime u drive then u mite have oil seal problem
If u compression is low u most likely have a stuck apex seal or chipped.
Also did u get ur compression check when the car is fully warmed or wut?
Also does ur car hold idle
Prepare to save money n get a rebuild or reman

hey dude, vacavilleFC..
you said it yourself, it could be a number of reasons.
it COULD be the oil injector being bad/along with leaky injectors. i think i have somewhat of the same problem.
altho i'm premixing now.

do you have any background info on the car the engine was from?
it might be a rebuild that was sitting out (sounds like a reaal stretch but you never know)
maybe the engine needs to be worked in..
just get your injectors cleaned. and check your oil injectors.
hope you the best of luck, and rebuilding the engine isnt all THAT bad.
atleast you have a reason to take it apart and Port the engine now =D
