People with FMIC .. how did you keep your AC?

I know I could get the pipe refabbed .. but I rather just adapt the AC so it will fit

Has anyone succesfully fabbed up some method of keeping the AC with fmic interfeering the pathway ?

I have. I have the Corksport 24x6x3.5 and it fit perfectly in between the frame rails. All I did was take the front bumper off. No cutting or hacking anything up. I then put one 90degree coupler on each side and kept the piping inside the frame rails. Its a tight fit but you can make it work. I dont have any underhood pics but here are some. In the first and second ones if you look close you can see how it sits right inside the frame rails. I have p/s and a/c.

I would if I had my car. I dont have it right now. I can tell you on the passenger side it does a 90 out of the IC and then straight with a 45 degree bend and up to the turbo. On the drivers side it does almost a 180 out the IC and then straight up between the radiator support and front bumper. The piping kind of runs back behind the IC about 4in then straight up. Then through the only hole that needed to be cut and runs right where the battery would be up to the TB.

Well what are your dimensions for the IC? Mines the 24x6x3.5 Corksport one and it fits right between the frame rails. You could then run your turbo pipe straight down, right by the radiator and to the intercooler. There was just enough room to get a 90degree coupler on the IC. I would like to have a 90 welded on the IC. That would be cool. But this way you dont have to cut any holes. Btw Im using 2 1/4in pipes.

Keep your top mount and run water/meth injection. Then you get to keep A/C and power steeing, plus for a top end computer controled variable flow system can be HALF the cost of a front mount kit.

Even a basic single or two stage system is HALF a budget front mount setup, and more effective.

If you do any extended track sessions at all it is very hard to keep an FC engine cool with a front mount, assuming stock radiator and oil cooler locations.

I am going to be doing a V-mount intercooler in my next setup. Is there any creative way to still have the AC with that seen to date? I would put coolant and intake temp before AC performance but I would still like to have some sort of AC in the summer.
