OMP lines, I need to prefab them.

Might have to fix a leaky PD duing a 'free day' in my auto shop at CC. Only have 3.5 hours, but all the tools I'll need. I want to prefab the oil injection lines so I can just R&R them when the LIM is taken off. I need:

-Hose material (and cost)
-The lengths the 4 hoses need to be
-The size banjo bolts and clamps to use.

Thanks.

I'm replacing the PD, and the OMP lines have been described multiple times by members here as having the resilience of 'spun sugar' around this age. So, I'm going to replace them when I swap the PD. And if not banjo bolts, then what does one call the connectors at both ends of the OMP lines?

Your right there is four banjo bolts that hold the lines in place at the OMP. The only thing I have heard about the other connectors are called oil nozzles.

Here you go.

You're welcome.

I would recommend getting some new intake gaskets, and some hylomar sealant to use during reassembly.

Thanks, 'Critter. I was looking for that thread.

So, what about the banjo bolts though? I want these prefabricated, anyone know what size/type is closest to stock?

I'm unsure of the size, but if I remember in a little while I'll see if I have the one's off the NA engine still out there. If so I'll measure them and get back to you.

Have some vacuum hose and fuel line handy as well. The vac lines get old and hard, and can break. The fuel lines can get hardened and seem to fuse to the rail, removing them can result in tearing.

To the other poster - there are banjo fittings at both ends of the lines (the oil nozzles go throught the banjo fitting and thread into the housings/intake.

How much does the dealer want for these? It's almost something I woudn't make myself, since the originals are pre-curved/molded.
