2nd Gen. Motor in 3rd Gen

Somebody asked me this morning about a 13B from an '87 going into a '93 year model car. I know it's two different animals, but what is involved if somebody were to do this?

I always wondered about this but never looked into it. 13b from a second gen can make a tremendous amount of power with the right set up but why go back when u can get just get. 3rd gen motor

the rear iron would have to be machined to accept the FD motor mounts, it isn't worth it anyway...the FC engines are inferior to the FD motor in almost every way.

not worth it, the same as putting a 12A isn't worth putting into a 2nd gen car.

kinda was figuring that as a given. I'd really like to sell a motor to the guy but I know he wont be happy with it.

If he wants to buy it that's not your fault.

Above and beyond the difficulty mounting the motor, he'd go nuts integrating the 2nd gen engine management into the far more complex 3rd gen electrical system.

It's a lose/lose scenario for everyone.

definitely not an undertaking I would want to do. I dont want to sell the motor to him. With my luck he'll be back in a few months trying to tell me I screwed him over something. No amount of money is worth that.
