omp line broke

allright i have finally found the problem w/ my fc the omp line is broke down close to the omp i was just wondering if instead of taking off all of the intake to ge to the injectors to remove / replace the line if it is posible to replace just a section of line with vacume line or something simular i have a tubing and metric sells place neer me so i can probably get anything i may need from there just need to know if it work as i have seen it done (see attached)

In a word, no. The pressure is to great to be patched. Atkins Rotary has them for about $20 each.

Check the for sale section, you can usually find something there. Someone was making stainless-steel lines, but i can't seem to find a link for it.

yeah i found stainless for the fd but they said they only do custom in shop for the fc doesnt that suck!!

first off who said there is alot of pressure in there? there isn't alot of pressure! However I would not agree with just patching it because down the road you will end up having problems with it. Do a search on premixing if you wanna know more about it however really if this is a daily driver I'm sure you don't want to be bothered with premixing every time you get gas. Best thing to do is just fix it the right way with some new lines.

I believe scathcart has SS lines? Either way, I'd replace all 4. If one broke, and you buy one replacement, chances are you're going to break another in the process.

heh yea speaking from experiance...definately....i would suggest getting all new lines! stainless = less mess too! because usually i see oily messes in that area so i mean good luck! if u find the lines let us or me know because id like to replace them all with stainless too!
