Not Starting At All After Removing Initial Set Coupler

Hello, I have been working on setting the idle on my 1986 GXL and as soon as I set it good enough that I can take off the Initial Set Coupler, the car does not start at all, it catches at the very beginning but nothing after that no matter how much throttle input I give it. However after waiting a day, the car starts up fine without any issues. The car starts when hot every time, either with the jumper removed or enabled. It only refuses to start on that switchover where I take out the initial set jumper after the car is warmed up and try and start the car again. Unplugging the battery or the EGI Comp fuse makes no difference at all.

I have noticed that with the coupler jumped or when I start it up without jumping the coupler to begin with, after a few seconds of holding the key in the ON position, all of the lights dim for a second and I hear a relay clicking. Again, as I crank it, I will see the lights dim again, the starter slow down a little bit, and the relay click again for a second before it goes back to normal, which afterwards the engine catches and starts up immediately.

After I remove the Initial Set Jumper though, I hear no click, the lights do not dim at any time and it cranks at a constant speed but does not catch at all. I have also noticed that normally, when I have the key in the ON position and I change the Auto Adjusting Suspension from sport to normal or vice versa, the lights will also dim a little bit and the battery voltage will fall a little bit as it switches over, but removing the Initial Set Jumper after setting the idle makes it so that switching between modes does not dim the lights or make any difference in voltage.

I think that this is something to do with the temperature of the engine as it starts up fine the next day after the engine has cooled down, however I do not know where to even start with a problem like this, and any help is appreciated, thank you.

Couple things..

How healthy is your battery?

Have you confirmed that you dont have any vacuum leaks?

Have you verified timing?

Can you post a pick of the connector believed to be the initial set coupler?
