No fire please help!!!

So im new to rx7's I just bought an 88 today that doesn't run. The guy said when he was driving it, it got real boggy and just stop running.Kinda like the fuel stoped spraying in. It has been sitting for 4 years but he maintained it very well. new belts keep the oil fresh and all the other stuff. The car is getting spark just fine. It's getting fuel to the rail but when i pull the injectors out the arn't spraying.https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/wallbash.gif
Could it be something as simple as needing new ones or could it be the injector pump solinod? If anyone has any advice that could help me out that would be great.
Thank you,
Chris

If the injectors are no firing but you are getting spark then check if you have 12vdc at each injector. the trigger is fed from the ECU.

If that reads right then what would you suggest to do or check after that?

are neither of the primaries firing? are they firing at all maybe a little? whats the fuel pressure? node lights would be preferred to check if there getting grounded too, but check for battery voltage at the black/yellow wire on each injector it should have battery voltage with koeo. check the resistance of the injectors. check for resistance from a pin to the case.. if i were you i would be wondering if its an electric probably(If its what he said its probably not), or if its a mechanical problem. Did he put bad gas or drive on old gas and it clogged up the injectors. O also check for volume output from the pump?

well the pressure is good and volume out put us good. I've ran an amp test on the injectors themselves and that are fine sitting at 13. something. It could have had bad gas it is geting a fire. plugs were wet, and it tryed to start a couple times. The fuel is making it to the rail. the injectors are just dry. So now im thinking its just they are cloged or done since it sat for 4 yrs and they are the origanal injectors. The car has 110,000 so they should be changed anyways. An more advice or ideas will help me out.

did you drain the tank and put new gas in? that may clog up the injectors, or they may already be clogged. Amp test at the injectors im guessing you mean voltage? or are you that lucky to have a oscilloscope and amp clamp(I want one so bad). i believe you can take the injectors off of the engine and zip tie them to the rail. Try to turn over the motor and you can see if they are firing. I dont know if oyu already did that. but that will for sure tell you if there firing.

In addition to swapping the filter and dumping the tank, Ebay a set of high impedence injectors and get a new pulsation dampener while you are in there.

well the problem isn't the fuel pressure. The injector isn't spraying out at all. I put new ones on today and the same thing, so i can rule out that the injectors are bad. I took one of the old ones and ran a ground and positive to it and it would open and close, but when hooked back up nothing would happen. I pulled the EGI Computer and took it apart. I see where two resistors are a little discolored on the pits. it i turn it over its the same thing where the connection is it looks like it is burnt. So im going to get another one tomorrow im hoping that works cause i've checked ever fuse and relay i can think of. I will let you all know as of tomorrow night how it goes. In the mean time keep the advice rolling.

check your relay at the back drivers side of the engine bay. I'm doing all mine the same i dont trust most shops. I have gone through my whole fuel system so if you run in to any problems let me know.

. Even without the link. you test for voltage at the injector i think if you had you got battery voltage at one pin on the connector. on the t2 its the balck and yellow wire not sure about na. So they get power But are they getting ground. 10 dollars at ahrbor feight node light this will tell you if the circuit is working. all you do watch the light if it glows then its getting power and ground... good it should blink the injector is getting turno on and off. Injector solenoids are only energized for short periods of time like 3mS thats really really fast. When you jumped the old injector with power to ground you probably burnt that solenoid out. no more injector. anyway try the noid lights before buying an ECU. konw whats bad before buying stuff.

either way that still dosn't matter because even if he is testing ok at the injector under a load they quite often do not work properly.
