No Fire!

Hi guys! Long time i didnt post, its cold here in Canada and the 7 is covered by snow
Anyway! Ill post this question for a friend.

The starter turn and every accessories in the car work fine, but he dont have FIRE at the sparkplug!
What can be the problem? What control the "FIRE" sequence?
Anybody got a shematic or something i can use?

Test the leading and trailing coils. Then also check to see if the CAS is plugged in.

How does he know there isnt spark? Did he pull the wires off and lay them on the strut tower when cranking?

yeah, he put the sparkplug on some metal while cranking...
He got a brand new CAS, so i guess its not the problem.
Anyway, ill tell him to check for the coil... But, what give power to the coil? (What is before the coil) ?

btw, sorry for my bad english... its not my first language! I try hard, but its still not perfect.

Make sure the ENGINE fuse is good. It's inside the car. The location is in a jpg in the FAQ thread at the beginning of this second generation forum.

If the ENGINE fuse is good, then check all the fuses in the engine bay.

unplug the afm, i had the same problem untill i was tearing down the engine and my friend as a joke strarted it. it cranked up just fine then died.

if the afm is dead, then there wont be a spark, but there will be fuel and everytthing else.

A disconnected afm will NOT keep you from having spark. Just FYI

check the ECU for codes. FC3SPRO.com has a guide on how to do this.
