After owning a 1986 300zx Turbo and a 1987 RX7 I can say that if you can keep that Nissan on the road then the RX should be a dream for your wallet... not that I'm bitter toward the Nissan parts departments inability to get me anything for less than a house payment.

I want a rx7 tho but there something that scare me about getting one cause my friend had one for like 2 weeks and it was fucked there were problem with it and he knew there were cause it was his dads. he end up selling it for like $400. I just want to know if there are going to be engine problems !! there is no really why of knowing to!!

check the compression at your local mazda dealer and you'll be fine.

Ya I think you will be disappointed with an NA when going from a turbo car already. You can beat 5.0s but you will need to do some modding.

I've driven a turbo rx7 Thats like, uh...no other car I've driven. My bro used to have a 94 formula and he loves to drive my TII. Get one of those. I mean you have $4000, thats enough to buy one with a blown engine($2000 or under) and then buy a rebuilt engine(www.mazdarx7engines.com $1995 shipped with a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty). Definitely your best bet.
