fuses are always wired to battery power. if they were wired past the accessory then the accessory would be the fail point in the circuit and the fuse would be protected(if the accessory survived and the fuse was rated near the amperage of the accessory then the fuse would blow whenever you turn on the accessory, but it would protect it!).

anyways, for a better description of why they are where they are. think of battery current as an arrow through a circuit, it flows from the battery through the fuse to the accessory then to ground of the battery in a perfect loop. if the wire shorts out anywhere between the fuse and the accessory then the fuse will blow anytime the battery is hooked up. it will blow after you turn on the accessory if the accessory is faulty and drawing too much load, like a siezed electrical motor would. if there is a switch in the system and the short is after the switch, it will blow when you turn on the switch, keep in mind you could also have a siezed motor as in the previous example and not a short.

Not at all.

Different AFM for one. There are several reasons as to why it won't work. Probably different plugs too.

Coil packs are switched power. Do you need a wiring diagram?

ok so ive figured out that i have no power from my key i have power going in but not out i tested every pin on the left side of the key for power and there was none so that would explain no spark or fuel pump or any of my switched accesories working got any ideas besides being a bad ignition switch
