ok so i got this annoying noise after i had a new to car engine put in...its coming from the general location that you see on in the video...does anyone know what it is and how to stop it...its not as bad in pertson but still enough to cause a nice headache on the way to and from work...all the idiot cluster lights are off when the car is actually running...i did not turn the engone on for this...but it happens when it is on or off

Definatly an electrical problem of some sort. That's not your Coolant buzzer by chance is it? I can't really tell the tone of the sound but...

Its not the Power Steering computer either. I've never heard that before.

 

no its not the coolant...i know what that one sounds like as i get it about twice a week...lol...just dont have the money to fix it right now so i just keep adding coolant...nothing a new radiator would not solve....but this other one...cant figure it out...have had a couple locals guys listen to it and they dont knw either

I don't have speakers on my computer here, but the fax machine comment reminded me of my open door buzzer (or was it seatbelt?). When it decides to work, it sounds like an old dot-matrix printer, only quieter. Or maybe like one of those old printing calculators...

will that buzzer comeone even if the light is not one...the light does work when the door is open...if so how do i check it...is it in the fsm or haynes manuel

its coming from the middle of the dash..around the idiot cluster...

.yeah i know its in a lame .mov file...i could not get a free program that would allow me to change the file type...its what the cam uses as default...dont know why....hate fuking apple

I would guess an aftermarket alarm that has lost its ground and has an interior siren.

Pull the glove box and see if that lets you narrow it down.

 

nope i know its not an alarm have already looked...the only wires in the car as of now are all stock wires....the sound is comiing from the drives side moreso of the dash....

 

could be the stock stereo. It sounds like the beeping sound the radio makes when you assigne a station to a number but constant. try taking out the fuse for the stereo.

 

Yeah, that is probably the next steps... start pulling fuses (one at a time) to see what circuit the buzzer is in.

no more noise...pulled the ps and forgot to take out the fuse...when i pulled that fuse it stop...the little things will alwasy get you...

 

nice.....that noise really sucked!
