name that thing.....

i have an S5 N/A...im assuming my fellow FC brother/sisters have the same thing.

beside the overflow bottle to the left is this black plastic cover with a small dime-sized hole covered with a clear lens. what is it and whats it for?

yes....oh no wonder some ppl dont have it....no A/C. whats the clear lens-covered hole for?

the lens is a sight glass to view the condition of the refrigerant, it should be clean if it is milky or bubbly it is either low or contaminated and if it is clear(no fluid) then you are out of refrigerant. most people have switched over to R134a which the sight glass will be of very little use as when you change over to R134a the fluid will look quite a bit different and vary depending on the evac and conditions when mixing freons.

shouldn't matter anyways, most people remove A/C from the 7 anyhow. it gets upwards of 115 degrees in the summer here so i prefer to keep it.

I took my A/C belt off just in case I sell it and somebody actually wants A/C unlike myself. I do, however, have 2-50 A/C: 2 windows down 50 miles per hour.
