N/a Keg for a T2 setup??

So the t2 motor i bought from diamond japanese had no compression, kinda mad about that, so im going to the bank tomorrow to despute the charge and get my money back. Anyways in the meantime i was thinkin about using an N/A keg and bolting all my turbo accesories onto it. I know the rotors are different, but will everything as far as my turbo manifold and intake manifolds and injectors and fuel rails, and all that stuff bolt up to it and work...? or is there a lot of stuff thats different? Please let me know!! thanks!

I don't think the OP wants to turbo the N/A...but you will probably research enough and decide out that its not worth it.

FYI, All jdm motors are hit or miss no matter where you get them from. Are you sure its not just stuck seals? Poke around in the exhaust ports and check all the seals for any damage.

The ports in the TII intake manifold doesn't line up with the n/a 6-port intake ports.

Well the compression in the front housing is 0 on all three faces, on the rear housing its 0 on 2 of the faces and 90 on the last one. I did poke around at the seals through the exhaust ports after i just pulled the motor out, and a couple of them i cant seem to budge, while a couple are still springy, cant seem to free them up though , and i cant seem to notice any damage

i have a another motor, its my old street ported one which only has about 8k miles on it after the last rebuild, but that one was pulled because it lost compression after a bad tune and some harsh driving ... im thinking of just sending back the jdm motor i just got for a refund, and taking the money and getting my old one rebuilt. Any decent places in the New England area that rebuild RX7 motors?

Try putting motor oil in the engine on each seal, turn the motor over a couple times a day and continue to add oil. Give it same time and they will probably unstick.

I don't care who you get them through, its hit or miss. Japan2LA is a great source for parts....but I have gotten some close to junk parts from him.

OK, I need to go over what I meant in my last post here.

I in NO WAY wanted this to come off like Japan2LA sent me bad parts and screwed me. I wanted to say something like...no matter where you get parts from there is always the risk that the part is bad because **** happens. Sometimes new parts fail, sometimes used parts never work.

Now, as far as Japan2LA is concerned, he is one of the premier people to deal with on the boards and I still use him for parts.

To make my story complete, J-LA sent me some irons with pitting on the rotor faces. Because I was a numskull and didn't notice the pitting until approx 8 months after I had them, and after I ported the iron anyway, I could not expect to be reimbursed because I altered the product. Any retailer would basically, and correctly, say your S-O-L because its been too much time in my hands. But, after reading my last post J-LA PM'd me and offered to replace the parts even 8 months after the fact!! To be honest, I am floored. This level of customer service is at the upper echelon of customer service.

Cliffnotes:
To reiterate: Japan2LA did not screw me. Japan2LA FTW!!!!

Your better off having somone rebuild your engine.

A turbo can be put on a non turbo several way. One way to do it if you not that into fabrication, is to buy the JAPAN 2LA intake manifolds shown in the jpgs and then bolting on the turbo, turbo exhaust manifold, turbo throttle body and other stuff.

IF you buy a used engine..................ya ought to rebuild it in my humble opinion. God only knows how the previous ower treated it.

For $230+ your manifold you could give your manifold to a machine shop and not have to wait and probably pay less...although since Japan2LA has done tons of these they are probably of better quality than some random project for a machine shop and probably would last longer.

That JAPAN2LA is for a series five. If you put it on a series four, you'd either have to dump the ACV because it won't feed air to the exhaust ports in that configuration. Maybe he has series four lower intakes and then the ACV would work.
