...or just drill out the holes on a turbo shaft so it can be used if you upgrade to a T2 rear.

^ Your kidding right? Don't say stuiped things like that because people might do it.

You can also go to any driveline/drive shaft shop in your area, and they can make you a custom one for ~$200.

The auto trans driveshaft is too short. IIRC it is just about 1 inch or so too short. The thing you can do is take the auto tranny driveshaft, pull the slip yoke off, purchase a new u-joint from rockford driveline and put it on an N/A driveshaft...

AHAA! this explains my mystery shaft!...before my na went i haad replaced the driveshaft. This took some experimentation to find the proper one from the junkyard, and i ended up with 3 in the end.after the turbo swap,i found one that works, but is an inch too short, and i couldn't figure out why? never occurred to me that they made an automatic tranny too
thanx rotary101 for inadvertantly solving my drivetrain worries!

Right. Apparently, I didn't run my setup like this on my racecar for 2 seasons. Apparently, mine didn't hold up to drifting a 276rwhp car, clutch-kicking the **** out of it. Right? Don't open your mouth unless you know what you're talking about.

I had mine like that forever, and the only reason it's slightly different now is because I finally upgraded to a T2 rear. Never once had a problem, minus having too much power for the AXLES to handle.

yeah right maibe like $300+ i did mine on fleet pride for my old turbo FB and i paid $388 for it and i had to take it back twice to get it rebalance because they couldnt doit right and when i went to do for my turbo swap for my GTU they wanted more. thats why i went to mazdatrix one because was cheaper than local and 10 month right now and i dont have no prob with it
