making custom split air pipe

Hi,
My car doesnt have the split air pipe since the old owner took it out.
So now I can't pass emmissions and I dont have working 5-6 ports.
I went to the junkyard and unfortunately didnt fine any FCs there. Mazdatrix also doesnt carry a new one nemore.

Would it be possible to make a custom one from just a metal pipe?
What would I need for the check valve tho?

heres a pic

thanks

What year is your car? Mazdatrix doesn't always list everything that they carry on the regular website. They still show a split air pipe for several models in the Complete Price List area.

Go here
http://www.mazdatrix.com/priceful.htm
and search the page for "split"

They do have a listing for 89-91 N/T, and for a 86-88 convertable. Maybe the vert one will work for you if you have an earlier model?

With all the guys we have with wide open exhausts and no cats, nobody's got an "extra" split-air pipe for this guy? That's amazing

Not to steal your thread, but I may have one for you.

Why would I need my split air pipe?

Do I need it for my aux ports. (its an S5)?

just use a rubber heater hose from the cat to the engine if you still have a stub on both ends works good

Isn't a check valve required so that the exhust gases don't recirculate into the air control valve?

TIME OUT -

The split air pipe has no connection the aux ports.
It's only to aid the cat.

im pretty sure your wrong. doesn't air pressure from the exhaust operate the 5th/6th ports on an S4? and isn't that accomplished through the split air pipe?
