Unhappy What plug is this harness missing?

OK I have a 88 high imp TII harness which I just bought.

It is stumping me.

There is a connector missing on it! A big one too!

It looks as if the harness was created without this plug/not like it was ripped off.

Here is a pic of my orig harness with the two orange plugs.

Notice on this pic that there is only one orange plug!
Is this ok???? What did that plug do????

The yellowish/clear orange ones which connect to the interior harness

One plug is a
XXXX_XXX
XXXXXXXX

and the other is
XXX_XXX
XXXXXXX

Not the ECU plugs.

hmmm... on the 87.5-88 turbo harness there are the FEM 1 and FEM 2 harnesses that connect in the passengers kick panel... the are a female 13 pin plug (FEM 2) and a 15 pin female plug, but both T off the engine harness near the fire wall plug.

In fact it looks like the FEM 2 connector in the middle of the 2nd picture.

so are you saying that you an not find the FEM 1 plug???

Yup. It's not on the harness!
I believe the on pictured is the 6x2 plug

I checked for cut wires but nothings there.

It's totally stumping me.

These are the plgus which are right in the kick panle/firewall area.

One plugs in easily while the other is a PITA since it's up in the top corner.

Well I have a GTU and don't have ABS so if I'm lucky it's something simple like that but I doubt it.

Since my NA harness also had two plugs.

Can some one help any?

I need to get the car running asap and I need to figure out if this harness is worth wiring up for a TII conversion or not.

You bought a jspec harness. They are missing one of the large connectors, not for the ecu, but one that connects to the dash/car harness.

So Kevin.
Will I be able to use this harness?

This harness is in 500 times better condition than my current harness.

Your right that it is missing the interior harness connections.

It'll operate the engine, but it's a stretch to make it reach...route it along the firewall behind the LIM and under the UIM to make it work. You'll be missing (IIRC) cruise, wipers, and blower motor functions, and perhaps others. I've done this once before, but on an s5 car.

hmmm......

This sucks.

Well looks like I'll be rewiring my already rewired harness then.

This harness is so damn nice too

I guess I'll cut parts off it to make my harness better(injectors and wires)

I did notice it doesn't have the cruise or wiper controls on it.
