is louder better?

the guy i bought my rx7 from wasted a lot of time and money in making my 86 rx sound civililized.he said its more expensive to have a fast rx not sound then having it sound really loud.well i guess im an uncivilized savage because i want my rx7 to sound like its going down a 1/4 mile in record time while im just passing though my local streets.i want people to notice my car and recognize thats its no joke.i want old ladies cussing under their breathes saying how that car is too f*cking loud!my rx is fast and i want it to sound that way.it has a racing beat exhaust from the exhaust manifold back to the mufflers.he told me i should take off some of the baffling and to buy a cheap straight pipe.how do i take off the baffling in the muffler?what do you guys think i should do?is louder better?

I like loud, but not rice! Get the Apex N1 dual cat-back! It costs about $650 at the RX-7 Store at the top of the page, and it will be loud!!! I have a set!! Also, remove your cat, and get 3 inch pipe, but spend the $$, and do it right. Just by removing the baffleing, I imagine it will sound tinny, not tough.

The stock ones sound pretty cool too!

Kinda like a jet engine at 7500rpms's

I like the sound of mine, my friend got to drive it for a little while and i finally heard it from the outside for the 1st time.

There is a definate low tone accompanied by a loud whoooshing noise and a high note as well. sounds like nothing i've ever heard before!! I DEFINATELY LOVE IT!

Stock ones sounds great! At low rpm's its quite low pitched, at higher rpm's it becomes an all our jet engine, and all the while you can listen to music and have a conversation. If you ever want to be noticed, just shift it down a gear and they'll think a plane is landing in the neighborhood!

racing beat makes the best exhausts for rx-7s. just leave it. the loudness might be fun for a little while but then you will hate it. I wish mine was dead quiet so I can drive around fast and not be noticed. cause the cops will just notice you as much as the old ladies. you need to grow up. and if you think your 86 N/A is fast you need an owakening

Hey I have an N/A jerk. I consider it to be quite fast......for the engine size.
