well I went with the hi flow cat from n-tech and it is quite loud. I am going to go with a midpipe later (when I save up for my single conversion) and I expect it to be pretty dang loud

I also have a dp and the GT exhaust...when I was at the SF dyno, everyone liked the way my car sounds (deep throaty, not clicky). But I'm suspecting that my main cat might be clogged due to my pfc, so I'm thinking about getting a hi-flo cat also. But I really don't want that clicky ricer sound though...don't know what I should do! Anyone have any ideas?

That's what I want to know lol

I thought a PFC was just a device to maintain your engine's fuel and boost properties

I'm telling you now that a dp, mp and apexi N1 or GT spec will blast your eardrums. It's as loud as 4 Harleys and sounds like an outboard motorboat up close. You'll lose some low end - but high end wakes up. I also have non-seq. conversion so that makes it even louder. A hi-flo cat is a happy medium. More low-end power than a mp, not quite as much high end power (above 6K) but it still pulls hard, and the sound is great. I bought a mp and had Meineke weld on their hi-flo cat for $159 installed. $259 for a hi-flo cat is pretty good, heh?

The base map that came with the pfc is set for dp, catback, intake and ic. I ran it with only dp and catback for a while. My O2 reading at idle is .05-.07, WOT at .95 and up. I guess running too rich caused the clogged main cat. I can feel heat on the center armrest inside the car.

I have the Apexi N1 dual. When I switched from a hi-flow to mp....holy ****!!!! I think it sounds about 5x as loud. Don't really like the sound, but I do like the flow and look. I know it is not far to compare my cb to yours, but it did make a very large difference in sound with my application.

I have the Racing Beat duel tip. When I switched it was loud but still not that loud. I think the catback really makes a difference. Too bad I want it louder.

I have a Greddy SP cat back and a DP and MP. I did the DP and MP at the same time. I have to say it got louder but the pitch also got higher. I liked the lower rumble but I like the added power from the open exhaust. Oh well. Its not the loudest car I have ever been inside. But its in the top 10.

Yeah, your exhaust will be much louder if you go with midpipe or high flow cat to replace your main cat...the midpipe will be the loudest...I don't how much more power you'll make with a midpipe (over a high flow cat)...IMHO, the open flow just moves the power higher on the tach, but doesn't necessarily add more power UNLESS you add more boost
