The lightning track at NJMP is AWESOME! I had a great time this weekend. Once again we ran the same RA1's we ran last weekend. My practice time was 1:21, my best time in qualifying was 1:20 and in the sprint race I ran a 1:19. I started the sprint race 6th out of 22 cars (take a look at the picture below and check out the cars in the rows around me) and finished 7th overall and first in my division. My dad and switched driving about halfway through the enduro and we also won that. As you'll see on the last lap I slide off the track going into one... I was trying to see how far I could push my braking point every lap throughout the race, and I just missed it that lap. Oh well. The car handles great, I cant wait to put the set of hoosiers we have on it

A shout out to the guys at EMRA for running great events every weekend. Everyone in the organization is always willing to lend a hand and the racing has been very clean, and the schedule is always on point. I've been in and around numerous forms of racing and haven't met a better crowd in a while. They tried a new format this weekend by running the 30 minute sprint race first, then throwing a checkered flag with a standing green, signaling the cars that were only running the sprint race to take their cool down lap and pull off. The cars who were going to run the additional hour for the enduro would then stay on the track and bunch up and finish our race. It is a pretty cool concept to get more cars on the track and also save some track time, and it worked pretty good I thought.

And the field... We started 2 rows wide, starting position decided by qualifying time.

And here's my sprint race:

Lightning is a nice and smooth, flowing track. I enjoyed it.
Did you drive Thunderbolt? Much more challenging track, but I liked it better.

That whole park is great.

I've never been on Thunderbolt, but I really liked Lightning. I really like technical tracks, so hopefully I get a chance on Thunderbolt but as of right now its not on our schedule.

Hey guys, its been a while. A few weeks ago we had our second race at NJMP, racing on lightning. It was a sprint race for the first 30 minutes, then an enduro race for the next hour. About 1/2 way through the sprint race, the weld at the end of the header to exhaust came apart. I ended up running very consistently until I spun out from letting the extremely loud noise get to me, due to the fact that I run without earplugs (never going to do this again).

Overall, I still won the sprint race, and we also won the enduro race, as we were able to stay out and hang on. Overall, were 5 for 5 in every race we've been in this year... I believe we wrapped up the EMRA ST4 championship in Sprint and Enduro classes, but we still have Summit Point to go.

My laptimes... You can see I spun out on lap 23 and ended up in the pits a few times afterward checking over the car.

I still havent edited the in car footage; numerous painting projects have come up, and with school, work, and girlfriend I have been slacking, sorry guys.

By the way; If yall arent busy November 12th-13th you should take a look at what EMRA has going on at Summit Point! Hopefully the weather is decent, but its going to be a good event.

Finished up the EMRA season with another win at Summit Point in the ST4 sprint race, 6th overall in the race after starting 24th. Our day started with a bad fuel pump (replaced with a $50 Napa chinese to get us through the day, haha). We dropped out of the 4 hour Ken Buchel Memorial race, and finished 12th.

I can't believe how much work you did. It looks great. I think I would have found better fenders and trashed those old beat up ones. How many hours do you estimate you put into this body/paint job?

This thread is awesome.

Your hard work and dedication have inspired me to attempt to fix the OUTSIDE of my car for once.

Not to mention your life seems sweet from where I sit lol (stuck in an office building)

This is a great thread. Love the videos!

I figured the Volvo was a "pace car" or something...?

To be honest man, way too many. Probably about 100-150 hours at least.

And thanks guys, its come a long way and took a while to get it to where its at, but we have a good team and we try to build everything correctly the first time. Thanks again. Heres some more videos for you guys:
