just posting pics of work im doing
arg well i dropped $350 on tools today, sets me back a bit in my car venture but the tools were kinda needed....$70 in tap/drill bit/handle for 1.5" NPT for the girls water temp gauge...yikes! costs as much as the gauge just to install it! but im sure it will come in handy later down the road
not happy with the welds..strong ya sure but the welder kept tripping the breaker and messing up my flow..having to stop, pull my filler rod off, clean the burnt tungsten and all the suit left behind after the power just goes out...so ******* frustrating
pretty welds for about 1.5-2 inches and then a crap doo doo spot, then more pretty welds...its very frustrating..but im happy with my skills in welding being ive only been welding a very very very short while...im impressed!

you can tell everytime the breaker popped and the welder shut off....ill be buying some 4-3 cable and a 100amp breaker...
my welder is rated at 54amps max input power, plus 6.8amps of my water cooler....obviously im way over the 40 amps i had in and im over the 50 amp breaker i put in...should have researched it all on my own instead of relying on what people on forums had to say....doh....so now i need a new extension cable
8-3 aint gonna cut it
like i told maczpayne, "lol hopefully redeemed myself welding wise with the new work..that surge tank was depressing"
ran new wire to my welder and a new breaker...finally no more issues!

[QUOTE=Gurew;10041980]annnnnd for those that say heel-toe is impossible with the spacing i have...a pic
[QUOTE]
I was thinking that! That is quite a gap. With the brakes jammed all the way in you can still reach with your heal?

for sure! its really really comfortable, i dont feel as cramped up with stock pedals and i dont even have big feet...without the aftermarket gas pedal though it wouldnt be possible..that extra lip makes the difference

looks sweet, i know exactly how ya feel when your welds are beautiful and then something stupid happens to mess em up it pisses me of too i feel for ya lol, still looks good for starting and stopping as much as you were saying, you probably had more time in cleaning the aluminum than actually welding lol, at least when ya weld aluminum ya dont have to regrind it everytime you dip it lol
i love these pedals....they feel oh so nice!!!! cant wait to run the lines to the master cylinders and feel them under pressure...heel-toe is uber easy with these and the spacing!!!
