issue with wiper switch

I had an issue with my wiper. Rear one didn't worked at all, front one worked only on speed 1.

I bought off ebay a refurbished switch.

Now rear wiper works fine, but front wiper still only work in first speed (no mist, no int, no 2). Can it only comes from the switch or could it be a relay not working or something like this ?

its generally the relays that go bad, they are old and are made of a two piece design. when humidity gets in there it slowly corrodes the relay to the point of failure. It's generally more cost effective to buy new relays and solder them onto the existing board.

There are six wires at the wiper motor. Focus on the Blue/Yellow, Blue/White and Blue/Red wires. W/the wipers working in low speed check which of these three wires has voltage on it. When you figured which of these three wires has voltage on it then focus on the other two wires. W/the wipers in the off position jumper voltage from the Blue wire in the motor plug to either of the two wires you are now focusing on and see if that causes the wipers to move at either the high speed or intermittent speed.

ok I did a little check.

so low speed is blue/ yellow wire (i mesure between 11.5-12V).

I'm not really good at this jumper thingy and couldn't make it work (even in speed 1).

So what i did is that i put the wiper in speed 2 and tried measuring voltage on blue/white and blue/red. 0V on both
did the same on int speed, 0V on both again.

If i understand correctly, that means that the switch doesn't work ?

Good to hear. Just because the relays are replaced doesn't guarantee that the switch will work as a bad trace will cause any switch to fail regardless of the relay condition.
