You said relay, not relays! There are TWO for the front wiper. Explain what you did.

Yes. And the part numbers are written right on top of relay 1 and 2, BUT NOT 3, which is why the guide gave you number for #3. If you don't know the cross reference number, you call digikey.

My car has no rear wiper and so my switch cluster is missing the left-most relay altogether. But now I'm a bit confused with the function of the other two.

So is the middle relay for "park" and the relay furthest to the right for Hi/Lo or vice versa? I have both the park problem and the inoperable Hi speed/Intermittent issue and am about to do this repair.

Well thanks for helping clear that up. I need both relays. I ordered the auto-park relay from Digi-Key yesterday but was able to add the middle relay to the order before it shipped.

Here are the Omron relays I ordered out of Digikey catalog:
(1) Omron #G6C-2114P-US-DC12 , Digikey #Z950-ND ( the auto-park relay)
(1) Omron #G5LE-14-DC12 , Digikey #Z1012-ND ( the low/high or middle relay)

Not sure what happened with the original poster's case but there may be an easy "jumper wire" fix. Check this out:

I looked up the numbers JJCOBM posted and they're essentially the same relays but made by Panasonic. The original relays were rated for 5 amps. The Omrons are both 8 amp and the Panasonics are 8 and 15 respectively. Either brand is a huge improvement over the originals.

I got my relays today from Digikey. Soldered them on the board and switch works like new. I ordered Omron replacements because I didn't know about the Panasonics. But even the new Omrons are sealed and since the originals lasted about 130k miles I figure these will last until the rest of the car falls apart ha ha..

I was so stoked I fixed something I pulled my idiot light cluster and resoldered the connector. The clock now works for the first time in 20 years!
