MN timing issue

so i have a problem. I hooked up a timing light today and the timing mark was lined up perfect with the pointer. as i was looking all of a sudden the mark just disappeared for a little bit and then it would show up again in perfect timing. then it would go away and so on. anybody have any ideas of what this could be? or is this not a big deal?

I installed a innovate wideband and it shows 21.7 after calibration in or out of the 02 sensor hole, car on at ideal or off. it will lower to 18 or so when i bring it up to 4k rpm.. I read something that i need to hook it to the computer and change a setting so it reads AFR. '

another problem is the screw on my throttle body to set the tps is bottomed out and i cant get the tps set to 1V? so would the tps be band or do i need to bend the bracket or what would you guys think?

any help would be awesome! I'm so lost with this damn car. Thanks in advanced for any help!

Your induction coil from your timing gun isn't sitting on the plug wire properly so your timing light will lose spark signal..that is why your Timing Mark would disappear.
You should not have to bend the Tps Bracket..are you doing the Test correctly?.double check.

Which screw on the throttle body are you using? Is it the one encased in a one inch spring that is part of the throttle linkage?

yes its the screw under the TPS sensor that has the one inch spring but its fully bottomed out and i cant turn it any further to get it set to 1V.

And thank you for the info on the timing light. I will try putting it closer to the spark plug. i had it right up by the coil.

question - when i testing the timing the rpm was at 1000 rpm cause i could adjust it. at 1000 rpm the timing mark was inline with pointer. the manual says timing should be set at 750 rpm so does that mean my timing is actual off or wont 250 rpm make that much of a difference?
