I'm loving the thread. Since I recently acquired a sponsorship for my n/a FC, I'm looking to make 240 - 300 hp at the wheels. Turbo'ing my n/a would solve all my problems as long as it was a complete set-up and reliable. Thanks for taking the initiative to produce your set-up, I remember last summer and it ran fantastically. I also happen to have some other ideas I'd like to throw at you. PM me.

Save yourself some time. Look at x-cart for your store. YOu can add items individually, as a package or the users can add/build right on line. Their example shows a peron building a PC from scratch using given parts, they can select a motherboard, then it will show which video cards will fit that board, then which sound card, what speakers fit that sound card.....

I am sure I confused you but look at the software. For >$200 and it will do everything including clearing the CC online, it is a steal. Oh and opt for their install service. That is a deal too

(sorry for the partial threadjack)

curse you! i was planning on selling the 7 and keeping my old school mr2, but now a seed of doubt has been planted. when will this be launched? will the fuel controller be pretuned according to injector size? (like all the civic turbo kits lol) and WHY HASN"T THIS BEEN STICKIED? i was literally going to park the 7 on the side of the street today with the f/s sign up. you may have saved as 7.

so are you going to be using the 6pi manifolds...or adapting the turbo manifolds to fit the 6pi block? And will you be using s4 or s5 manifolds, or will this all depend on the customer?

I have already covered this. I am using CUSTOM manifolds, it won't matter if you have a s4 or a s5, it'll fit either just fine. The s4 and s5 intake manifolds are not going to be used.

I'm quite curious to know why everybody is so obsessed with the intake manifolds. What are you expecting them to look like? They're just cast 6port manifolds with no aux port/acv/etc, just straight shot off the block up, nothing all too fancy. As for a timeline, my biggest hangup at the moment is I'm away from my cars which I usually use to test everything out on, and in the meantime I'm working out all the various other minor details. Also, since I want to have dynos of various stages of cars, I have been locating people willing to put up with the various minor changes and the 'bugs' i'll encounter in the process, and having to build all of these kits with my own money takes a bit of time. But, it's still moving forward and doing good, and the feedback has helped me get a very good idea of what I'm aiming for, so now it's just a matter of adding the suggestions, making it user-friendly and documented to install, providing various numbers/etc, and figuring out the last few 'bugs'. Can't say it wouldn't be quicker if I had more money to devote, but I don't, but I'll still do it and manage it just fine.

i was kinda expecting something a little more exotic as far as manifolds go, oh well thats going to work out great actually, so your just going to make a new LIM that attaches to the stock S4/S5 UIM? Sweet i'm in, just keep me posted on progress and lemme know when stuff is availabe, P.S. i love pics (pics help me buy things . . )

Haha, well of course I will be providing pictures. I'm actually not retaining the stock UIM's at all, I simply hate the idea of forcing the intercooler piping to be on the same side. I wanted to make it where tII aftermarket parts can be used easily (as well as possibly the stock TMIC), so I've went ahead and replaced both and kept the TB. Depending upon cost I might change this around a little bit, possibly using custom throttle bodies? I've got more than enough CNC shops lined up that could do this for me. Basically I'm trying to decide on what's best for A) performance B) cost and C) my sanity.

Make sure you keep C in good working order. But yea I would be interested. Mainly into the UIM LIM assembly to solve slearance ishues at the same time giving you a bettor ported and matched product over stock.

you should try and take pre-orders to help with the cash flow.

My problem with pre-orders is I just don't like the idea of making people wait and spending their money without giving them something in return before I go and spend it. But if people are OK with that and wouldn't mind paying now and waiting for me to finish up the minor work on it before getting it, I can do that. Just PM me if anybody's up for that.

Pre-orders do tend to get flaky on custom projects like this. You may be willing to donate cash now, but I'm sure a few will start complaining once your ETA gets pushed back... and back... and back...

That being said, everything I've preordered before that had the above happen, was worth the wait. .

I think it would be a good idea to do a deposit type deal. All the custom stuff I have seen people make and people pay in full, tend to be waiting 2+ yrs later =(

Yeah, that's what I don't like about pre-orders and such, is that I hate telling people I've come accross a different bug, and when it comes to other people's cars, I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist.

I looked through this thread for the specs of the kit(s) you are making and I am still unsure what exactally you are offering. Have you decided to include the turbos or no? Are you going to offer 3 levals, like RotaryRessurection suggested?

There will be 3 complete 100% setups with turbo's included, and one without the turbo included for those people who want to source it all themselves/etc.

There will be 1 stock turbo setup, complete with injectors/fmic/etc. The other two will have hybrid turbos and larger injectors/etc. What else do you want to know?

As for it cooking you dinner, I'm sure it could if you set whatever you wanted to be cooked on the turbo, or tires after you're done driving.

preorders are a good idea for you i think. put the money in a client account and don't touch it until you know you will be delivering product. this way you don't get screwed by making a bunch of kits and having everyone backout who said that they'd "be in for sure" and the like. if something goes bad, you eat the loss and refund the client account money.

that is very refreshing to hear.

I really hope that when the time comes that I can afford this, you are still happily pumping out the kits = )

first off, I have not read all nine pages. I may be saying what someone else did already, but to me the cost of doing this is not feasible to the average FC owner when you can get out so much cheaper by using a spacer. Sure, it would be a cleaner installation, but for over $2k? Many FC owners do not have the $$ to spend on this project like that if ti can be done for a lot less and still work. I am not trying to rain on your idea--I think it is badass that you are looking to help us out--but I am just offering an opinion on the basis of cost effectiveness. Many people have now gone and done a straight turbo add-on to a 6 port block, so we know it will work for less cash. If I had the $$ available for the project, I would go with the custom job. But my car, like most other FC's, will need other things done too. The very first thing that I will do aside from forced induction is a new clutch, for example.

Maybe ocne I have everything else done, I might come back to a kit like this. But for now, I am more interested personally in a safe working setup. I also do not use mine as a daily driver, and with others who do, this may make it even more of an issue. Eitehr way, please let us know what happens here--this is a SWEET idea and thanks for thinking of the NA community!
