I'm not sure if it was the most intelligent/efficient solution, but for me, i used a knife, some WD40, and a lot of time. I stuffed paper towel in the holes of the intake to prevent chunkes form falling in, then just went at the bastard. Took about 30 minutes to an hour to remove a gasket, which is a pain, butbt she seems to ruun fine now, so I'm happy.

Soak them in some degreaser if you have them off the car. If not go with WD40. I would really remove them from the vehicle as to make sure that no DEBRIS get into your engine.

Ok I just got mine off the other day. Mine were really on there and I just kept applying gasket remover and scraping off till I was able to get to the hardest bottom layer and get the whole thing off. I used fine grit sandpaper to smooth it all down afterwards.

3M makes a gasket removal disc, you should be able to pick up one at your hardware store, in the drills section.. Be careful with this as well, prolonged contact will eat aluminum too. But it's far safer than a wire wheel. And gaskets don't stand a chance

I used (on an old intake that I didn't really care much about) a flathead screwdriver and a hammer, chipped at it little by little and got under it fine, and just kinda did that and got most of it off without anything else

I wish I was driving!
Silkworm is right on the button.
I soak them over night in turpentine. Tends to soften up the gaskets so they scrape right off.
To save yourself this hassle again, coat both sides of both new gaskets with some synthetic grease.
I only ever had to scrape my gasket off once: the first time.
