Lets get this straight first. Any N/A RX-7 is gonna be loud. Even with a stock exhaust, with both cat converters, WITH the exhaust manifold on there.

Well, it is a smart idea to have the intake and exhaust done at the same time. You are going to be adding more air to block, so thus, that would add more power to your block, and it will help run it a little bit cooler. And with your exhaust, you will now be exiting those exhaust gases quicker than a stock exhaust. Are you keeping cat converters, do you have to worry about emissions? If not, get rid of the exhaust manifold, cat converters, and buy yourself a racing beat header.

If you do that to your exhaust, it's going to be EXTREMELY loud, and have negative reactions from all types of people.

intake will just make air more free flowing... easier for the engine to breathe.

quality wise, racing beat is the best crafted and will easily last the lifetime of your vehicle.
their catback + mufflers are also the most quietest while still flowing faster.
they are expensive but worth the money.
if you ever have questions about your 91 coupe feel free to pm me
