I'm confused

I thought the 13B-RE was a 3 rotor? or is that the 20B? also, the 13B-RE could drop into a vert with only minor mods right? or am I completely *** backwards?

13BRE = 3rd gen engine

20B = Cosmo engine

the RE would have to have a differnet center cast iron for the motor mount to fit in your FC. RE engines are mounted on the rear cast iron.

20b is a 3 rotor, all 13b-series are 2 rotors that have a displacement of 1309ml (give or take depending on year)

13b-re will fit, with mild modification. Hope you know what you're getting into. you will need a matching ECU, the 13B ECU will not roll the 13B-RE, or REW, or BT

13B = Normally aspirated/ Non turbo, 2 rotor, rotary engine.
13BT = Turbo charged, 2 rotor, rotary engine
13B-RE = J-spec Cosmo twin turbo, 2 rotor, rotary engine.
13B-REW = FD twin turbo, 2 rotor, rotary engine.
20B = J-spec Cosmo three rotor, rotary engine.

make sure the motor is good by giving it a comp test, if the motor is with in specs it is a very good deal

you would either have to rebuild the engine with a center iron that has a motor mount OR, fabricate a motor mount.

Said above by another, the 13B motor mounts are in the center of the engine, the 13BRE motor mounts are near the rear of the engines.

That's cheap, but keep in mind the engine is the only thing useful.
The engine will require a set of engine mount adapters.
The stock ECU and wiring harness are basically worthless, unless you're going to install the stock ECU, stock engine harness, stock ignition coils, and stock automatic transmission at the same time.
