I'm confused
I thought the 13B-RE was a 3 rotor? or is that the 20B? also, the 13B-RE could drop into a vert with only minor mods right? or am I completely ass backwards?

13BRE = 3rd gen engine
20B = Cosmo engine the RE would have to have a differnet center cast iron for the motor mount to fit in your FC. RE engines are mounted on the rear cast iron. |
20b is a 3 rotor, all 13b-series are 2 rotors that have a displacement of 1309ml (give or take depending on year)
13b-re will fit, with mild modification. Hope you know what you're getting into. you will need a matching ECU, the 13B ECU will not roll the 13B-RE, or REW, or BT |
[QUOTE=Radial GT] 13BRE = 3rd gen engine [QUOTE]
13b REW is the 3rd gen engine |

13b rew 3rd gen
13b re cosmo 2 rotor 20b 3 rotor cosmos |
13B = Normally aspirated/ Non turbo, 2 rotor, rotary engine. 13BT = Turbo charged, 2 rotor, rotary engine 13B-RE = J-spec Cosmo twin turbo, 2 rotor, rotary engine. 13B-REW = FD twin turbo, 2 rotor, rotary engine. 20B = J-spec Cosmo three rotor, rotary engine. |
I found a 13b-RE with everything (engine, ecu, wiringharness, etc.) for like a grand, should I try to get it? when you say mild modification, how much are we talkin about?

Said above by another, the 13B motor mounts are in the center of the engine, the 13BRE motor mounts are near the rear of the engines. |

The engine will require a set of engine mount adapters. The stock ECU and wiring harness are basically worthless, unless you're going to install the stock ECU, stock engine harness, stock ignition coils, and stock automatic transmission at the same time. -Ted |
