Making your car a "10 second car" will require you to turn your car into a flat out race car. I.e cant drive on street, not just for legal reasons but for comfort reasons too. Do you want to drive around with a close-ratio transmisson, racing clutch, and really lightweight flywheel, not to mention no PS, A/C, stereo, and a stripped interior. You will also need to pour lots of cash into your car to make it go that fast.

at 2600 lbs, ~400 RWHp is required, given a good driver.

My street FC makes that.

I plan on aiming for 10's and im going to be able to drive mine on the street. Right now with 13psi of boost I can run mid 11's with a good set of slicks.

im not the T2 expert.. but to awnser your question.. big turbo, porting, fm intercooler, lots of fuel, fuel computer, might as well take out as much weight as possible not to hard.. good set of tires/slicks.. a BIG tack in the corner with a hyper white bulb in it so Nasa can see and your set! i think thats all.. im including takeing stuff off engine and exhaust as weight reduction.. and basics.. sure....

around 500HP at the flywheel, depending on how much it weighs and what tyres you have on it

there is a Street Series 5 RX7 in aussie JOE10S which runs mid 10's with 520-530HP fully street legal

legally to run 10's you need a roll cage and other safety equipment which makes it a PITA to live with on the street. (of course some tracks are more liberal than others when it comes to safety equipment... on the flip side of that, they require the stuff for a reason)

another question you want to ask is what kind of suspension? slicks or drag radials? etc etc.

Don't forget all the high-performance stickers on the doors... and the double decker wing/buffet table hanging off the back...

If you and your car weigh 2650lbs, you have 475 rear wheel hp and good traction you can run 10s.

Let's see, Alf has: HKS TO4R, half bridge, stand alone, no interior behind the seats, lexan windows, no emissions, FMIC, **** loads of fuel, and about $30k invested.

*Had* a TO4R and a half bridge.

Try a T51R and a full bridge. Plus an HKS dogbox.

Don't knock my drug of choice, especially in its questioned environment: drag racing. To run 10's, a ported engine and nitrous would be the cheapest way to get that goal.

Of course, we're not getting into any of the suspension factors, etc etc.
