I dunno if it does any good to the motor, but as u rev the engine (like rev it a **** load) turn the ignition off, pump the accelerator a heap and then turn the ignition on as the motor keeps turning over, it should give u a f*ckin loud bang and some mother flames

rotary engines have been known to shoot a flame or so on ocassion when there is nothing blocking its path from the motor out the back of the car. due to the rotaries violent self destructive behavior they run rich from the factory as to safe gaurd any detonation which is fatal to a rotary however since roaries run so hot unburnt fuel in the exhaust pipe gets exremely hot and ignites once it hits oxygen... if there is nothing blocking its path and there is no cat to burn up unburnt fuel... you can try this.. take a spare set of cats and poke all the crap out of them but on the main cat leave the air tube so the 5th and 6th port still function correctly get some type of straight through design muffler get all this stuff on and down shift to third gear at night on the highway or just rev your engine with some one looking at the back of the car you may find that tapping the throttle once you have reached say 4500 rpms gives satisfying results but be careful you dont run lean you will pay for it... hope this might clear your head a little about the rotary phenominon of flammage......

You guys are crazy... Just retard the timing all the way to the front of the car,, it will not cause any damage, but makes awesome flames on any full exhuast car...
ps: don't blow your engine, making flames...

Thay make a kit to shoot flames. Switch under dash controls ignition, 2 coils get mounted in back, each attached to a spark plug which is inserted in the tailpipes. Rev to about 3500 rpm, shut off ignition, raw gas gets ignited by spark plugs, and boy do you have flames. This is made for the "hot rods" and trucks to shoot solid flames, but can be modified, if you want to take a chance and do this to your engine, and possibly blow you mufflers apart. It's naturally illegal, plus you cannot operate with cats.

Leave the timing alone. Retarding it will only cause power loss (as well as flames).
Shooting flames is easy. Straight through exhaust and lack of ACV valve will do it easily. Search "flames" for more info. This has been discussed hundreds of times before.

I've got a 1990, no cats on it. But I am wondering do I need to leave my Air Pump on for my 5th and 6th ports to function or can I just remove it? If someone could explain to me what the air pump does that could also help too. Thanks.
