the engine mounts are way different on an fd, you need to make some sort of brackets. you can use the turbo2 tranny and clutch.

Haha. He doesnt have a FD motor in his FC. Its just the top manifold from a FD fitted to a FC motor. But anyways that would be foookin koo. I also wondered about that swap as well. Or even a 13b rew twin turbo cosmo motor for us cheap asses.

Use the Cosmo 13B instead. It's a much easier "bolt in". The FD engine has different engine mount locations, making it much more difficult to fit. Or just built your 13BT...

the 13brew cosmos and fd engines mount in the rear while the fc motors mount on the side. if i was to do the conversion i would use a cosmos engine since A the intake ports are larger(the the exhaust ports have sleaves in them) and be the intake is MUCH nice cosmos has better bottom end picks up all of its power down low. i have imported both motors and find the cosmos engine more attractive. at least looks wise plus it is generally cheaper and pretty much the same motor to an extent.

FD motor = 13B-REW
Cosmo motor = 13B-RE

the 13B-RE is cheaper, easier to fit, and has more power potential.

i dunno where the hell yall get ur prices
cosmo motor can be found for 3 grand or less
haltech 1500 for a complete set up and a lil xtra
clutch 450 and u can keep the t2 tranny drive shaft and diff.tuning and lil stuf will be round 1 g
u can do a 20b for bout 6 grand if you can do most of the work ur self and the mounts can be found at k2rd i believe.
also to fit the fd motor in a fc u jus have to tap sum threads in the middle iron so fc mounts can be put n the motor it's alot easier from what all of you think!

It sure as heck would not cost 15 grand to put in!!!

I asked about this swap before and everyone was kind of in the dark. I know it's been done times before. But no one has any real information on it.

There is no point? Ask a rotory engine builder what engine is better and what you can easily make safer power with. I was at Pineapple Racing and Rob would not stop talking about me putting an REW in my FC. He said it'd be easy enough, and definatly 100% worth it.

I will talk to more ppl about the Cosmo motor, that's never been brought to my attention before.

I was planning in running an FD motor w/ S5 turbo and manifold. Some porting would probably be required, I have not looked at them side by side yet. I was not sure what I was going to do about engine managment though at this point. Some ppl say use an FD loom for expense sake, but I think I'd rather have a Haltec so I have more control and less wiring under the hood (makes for easy removal when you blow it ). But I would definatly NOT even think about using the sequentials... no way, no how, hehe. Too much vaccume lines and crap. If I HAD to use the sequentials I'd get the S7 (1999+) wiring. All the vaccume lines are in one box that is easily replaced. But those are hard to come by still.

I will post more info as I get it....

Plain and simple man dont do it instead use a turboII motor and use s6 parts (13brew) really the best way to go if you really want to get the most out of that engine why twin turbo man most people that have the money tend to get a single turbo convo because of the vaccum lines believed to be the worst problem on the 13brew

How old are you?
It looks like you're not even listening...

A 13BT with a single turbo will SMOKE a 13B-REW with stock twin turbos.&nbsp Who the hell cares about the stock 13B-REW twin-turbos - they are too small and break real easily.

I believe Aaron was talking about installation and everything needed, not just what "you think" you need
