When you install a cone filter there should be no need to mess with the wires at all. the filter should be before the Air mass sensor.

Theres 2 air lines on the bottom of the air tube bettween the AFS anthe throtle body are those on? Also the clamps holding that tube should be securely fastened because is theres any air leaks there; the AFS may be getting wrong information to the CPU and causing your car to stall, Chech that.....Ev

Exclamation 30sec run then stall

Bedan,

Did you dis-connect the AFM ? If you did download the FSM (factory service manual) and test the AFM (air flow meter) I once had this and found it to be a out of limit fuel pump switch, But PLEASE test don't guess.

Did you take the screws off? I hope you didnt take them off the connector, if you did go post a WTB AFM in the 2nd gen specific or go to ebay.

Good luck

LOL

Sounds too familiar. This happened to my friend last week he had another guy helping him with the car and he unscrewed it to take it out. Then he had the same symptoms you are describing.

Are you sure the AFM plug is in securely? If it isn't, it will produce exactly the same symptoms you mention.

When I built a cold air box for my n/a, I forgot to plug in the clip to the AFM. I would start It then It would die. Again and again. Realized after a minute that the clip needed to be plugged.

The screws are the ones that 'seem' to hold the electrical plug to the AFM. I took them off by accident because I did not see the clip.

So then I proceeded to the WTB section.
