Help with buzzer

Hey everyone, I have an 87 T2. The over rev buzzer is going off as soon as I turn it on. If I let it warm up then rev it, it will stop and after a few seconds of idling it will turn on again. Coolant is fine. Not over heating idles fine. Thought mabye a sensor or something was disconected but then why would it turn off when it's warm and running. I've attached a few pictures of gauges and an unplugged sensor at the thermostat housing. I bought it as it sits. I've attach what's been done to it from the previous owner. Thanks

Just confirmed buzzer goes of with ignition on but motor off

Does your warning lights cluster work? Is your coolant light on? check the sensor at the top middle of your radiator and the wiring on it. That sensor will make a buzzing if its messed up. Replacing it is a good idea either way but if that wiring is messed up it could not be making good contact intermittently making a buzzing sound.

You can just ground that wire to the sensor and it will not set off the buzzer.

Your warning buzzer might sounding due to either the coolant level sensor or the oil level sensor.

You could ground the wire I don’t recommend that tho. Then you won’t know if your coolant is low while your driving . It’s there for a reason . Usually it’s just a bad sensor or wire is cut somewhere . Just get a new sensor and solder a new wire

Nice. It’s not the best solution, but I always check my fluid levels and can smell if there was a leak so I don’t worry about it, especially since I’m always monitoring my aftermarket water temp gauge. Most cars don’t even have this function.

Please post the solution if you find the problem is not a faulty sensor.

You grounded the wire from the harness to ground right? not the sensor directly to ground. That wire that comes from the harness that goes to the coolant sensor could be messed up somewhere (that doesn't sound fun) Otherwise check the oil level sensor as mentioned above. Also search the forums or google whatever it is your looking for starting with "rx7club 2nd gen *type what your looking*" That's how I search and it works much better than searching the forum. This topic has been touched on before and I'm sure your answer is out there. Good luck
