PIR Repaving Progress

PIR Repaving Progress
A few days ago I went to PIR to check out what's been done and what's changing on the track.
Here is a track layout, the areas that are red are asphalt changes and the yellow is the part that has not be repaved. The entry to the front straight chicane will not change it looks like, due to the gator strip being placed where the original one used to be.
The rest of these comments will skip the chicane section numbering, so the corner at the end of the front straight is turn one.
Turn one, no real change other that the corner is very level now and the gator strip will be something you may be able to go over, but will cause your car to shutter in the process. Fast bikers with have their knees beyond the gator strip and into the grass.
Turn two, three, and the left hander four see not course change, other than the gator strips and very flat and smooth asphalt.
Turn Five gets wider and is now a place to pass if you can get a better drive out of Four.
The apex point of Five is even later that the old one and in effect straightens Six - Seven complex.
Looking back at turn Five.
Six and seven does not change, but the Porsche bump is no longer there.

The back straight is now mostly level, the outside no longer has a taper to it.
They had to do some grading at about the 500 ft braking point.
My now former favorite corner, turn 8 no longer has the large smooth hump, in it place is a short gator strip that will be avoided like the plague.
Due to the pit entry being widened and started earlier will cause Turn 9 to be straight..maybe will have to drive it a speed to really say.
And turn Ten sees no change other than Gator strips.

nice pics, would it be possible to see a test lap uploaded to you tube or somethign, don't have to drive fast or anything. Those turns in the pics all kinda look the same to me. a full lap would make the picture clearer from how I remember it in 2006.
Any word on in the alms will return with these new track changes?

I picked up my fc towards the end of the summer, and didn't look into taking it at PIR then. But once I get some minor items fixed, I'd love to take it to some events. Can't wait for the good weather!
