has my water pump gone bad??
has my water pump gone bad??
I just installed a rebuilt 88 13B TII engine and I installed a new radiator with it because I had overheating problems prior to installing the engine. I have the new engine running now and the heating problem still exists. I put in a new thermostat (correctly) also and I don't see any clogged hoses. The only other thing I can think of is the water pump. Could it be going bad? How do I check it?
thanks

Do you have the underpan installed?
Mazda Thermostat?
Proper cap and bled radiator?
Well the waterpump has a weap(sp?) hole. It will start to drip out the front. Just get the cooling system pressure tested, will save you some headaches and the cost of buying parts you don't need. My local rotary shop charges $30.
