Accident, anyone have a front bumper and/or hood for sale?
I rear-ended someone on Monday. Not completely my fault, someone in front of her slammed their brakes, she slammed hers, I slammed mine, I was the only one without ABS... it still goes on my record as an accident I caused. We're both uninjured, but the same can't be said for the cars. She's got $1300 worth of damage to her bumper (2000 model Integra... just my luck to hit an expensive late-model car). Thank Heaven for insurance. Unfortuantely, I have liability only. My hood doesn't close properly anymore, and the headlights cannot retract fully, so they're stuck in the up position for now. The hood's front edge got curled under by the impact, and the whole front bumper got recessed about an inch.
Fortunately, some emergency body work once I got home made it all look a little better. I detached that row of relays along in that space where the overflow tank is, removed the air block, dropped a scissors jack in there and was able to apply opposing force to different parts of the frame that resulted in the bumper getting pushed back out a little. Two sets of pliers and shop rags enable me to uncurl the bumper's front edge so it at least looks less painful, if far from perfect. Now when it closes, it latches fully, but it overlaps the top of the bumper by about 1/4".
My car is a 1987 N/A manual. It's white. Does someone have, in good condition, an appropriate hood and/or front bumper they can sell me for a decent price? They would need to be white to match the rest of my car. The car still runs just fine in all aspects (relative to before the crash anyway), the front bumper and hood are just crunched. I saw a metal fiberglass-looking-thingee that extends all the way across the inside of the front bumper underneath the external plastic. It's completely fractured. This bumper will not protect me against another such incident (heaven forbid), so it needs to be replaced especially. Anyone who can help please email me at mojoewinkie@hotmail.com or post a reply here. Thanks guys.

I have a white one from an 87 TII, aluminum hood w/TII scoop, bumper cover, and bumper if you want. Hmmmm... $300 for all plus shipping and the cost to pack it (I'd have to build a crate for the hood to protect it. Whatever the materials cost... probably $20-30 or so for the wood.) The bumper cover and bumper would only need a box- they're a lot tougher than an aluminum hood.
I'm pretty sure the 87 bumper is metal, not fiberglass... I'd have to look to be sure. Also shipping would be pricey, it would have to go by truck freight. The paint is showing it's age, but not too bad.
I really don't want to ship this stuff... but would do so to help someone out.

I break Diff mounts

That sucks. I did the same thing about 2 months ago. Except I hit them going slow so my bumper only went back a 1/4 inch. Thank god for my friends dad being a body man. He pounded out the bent support and got my hood ok. It is still a little bowed in the middle but almost unnoticable. I'm guessing your flash to pass lights popped out or are ready to.
Good luck finding the stuff you need. I found my Flash to Pass lenses for 15 dollars in a salvage yard but one had a single broken mount while the other was fine. They still look good though. Definitely try to the salvage places first before going to Ebay and other places like that.

My lights are completely intact. Even my externally attached driving lights and fog lights (yes 4 altogether) are intact, undamaged, and still attached properly. The headlights don't retract though, but that's ok because they still work and I'm ok with them being up all the time.
Need to talk to Brad, I may just take his offer.
