GTUS will not start.

Novice with cars, and more on rotaries.
Garaged for over a year.
Repleaced battery.
Put in some gas.
Cranks (From what I see) but doesn't fire up.
I see the Timing belts and Fan turning when trying to start it.

Any suggestions on where to start?

Thanks...

Take out your plugs and clean them. Squirt some Marvel Mystery Oil in the spark plug holes (about 1 teaspoon). Reinstall plugs and wires. Unplug your fuse for the fuel injection system and turn the motor over for a second or two using the starter.

Let the car sit for a couple of hours, cranking it over every now and then (fuse still pulled).

Install fuse and crank her up.

I checked the oil from the dipstick its like new and full.
I probly drove it less than 20 miles after the last oil change.
Should I even change it?

Finally been able to work on the GTUS

Finally been able to work on the GTUS
It's parked at cousin's house so I don't have access to it all the time.

I replaced:
OIL
Filter
Plugs
Wires

Still won't start.
Did de-flooding procedures but battery is now dead.
Theres exhaust comming out when I crank it.

Theres a ticking sound when I press on the clutch. Is this normal?

There is no belt on the ac compressor. I believe this is the air compressor and I'm not interested in the ac yet, just want it to start again.

Then theres this hose fitting. I'm not sure if there should be anything connected to it.

This was the difference between the old and the new plugs

Any suggestions?
How easy is it to check and clean the feul system (filter, injectors,etc..) and how much would some replacements might be?

Thanks for any input.

Heh... the difference between your old and new plugs is that it looks like whoever got the old plugs for it went to autozone and got a handful of lawn mower spark plugs and put it in there. Same thing happened on my old motor.

no, the plugs just look fouled if anything. Probably from you sitting there cranking it with it getting fuel and not firing.

ok, so when cranking

do you smell fuel? (from tali pipe or around the engine bay?)

remove the spark plugs from the engine, but connect the spark plug wire.

position speak plug somewhere near exposed metal (like studs on driver shock tower) and crank it.

do you see sparks?

you oil is fine....

your filters, belt and everything is fine.

i suspect bad fuse or egi relay....

also remove the clip on one of injectors on secondary fuel rail located under the intake pipe.

it should have 12V with key in ON position and 0V with key off.

you can also spin the engine with plugs and EGI fuse removed and listen for pulses. you should hear strong and equal pulses.

I used to from the tail pipe before I made the replacements, now I barely do.
