GSL-SE no start. Need help

Hey everyone, I'm new here and new to rotary's. I was a datsun guy haha. Anyway I recently rescued a 1985 rx7 gsl-se that had sat for years, it's in great shape, 112k, one owner with all the paperwork. I'm trying to get the car going and I've hit a snag. The car was parked with a full tank of gas, I drained it all out, replaced the pump and filter and it fired up. Ran good off and on on the jack stands for about a day and now it won't start. I checked again to make sure I still have fuel, I pulled the hose at the engine and cranked, I have lots of fuel. I also pulled the return hose off the rail heading back to the tank, lots of fuel there too. It's like it's just going in the rail and coming back out the other side with nothing actually going through the injectors. I checked spark, it's good, but the plugs were dry and the car is not firing. What has me baffled is that it was running for a while and I didn't change anything. It seems like whatever controls the injectors isn't working, and the only thing I've been told does that is the ignitors. People are telling me it's the injectors themselves but like I said it was running fine, it doesn't make sense to me that they all the sudden clogged up especially when I'm running a new filter. It's like they just aren't being told to spray. I'm I crazy? Any help would be appreciated, I need to get this thing running!

I was also told that if I'm not getting enough fuel pressure the injectors won't open, despite the fact that I have alot of fuel at the engine... is that true? What psi should I be at?

I found the psi in the fsm and will check it. But I'd like to know if I'm going in the right direction or if anyone has any other ideas.

check for spark on the trailing side, if there is none, it is probably an ignitor. the trailing ignition drives the tach and it is also the RPM signal for the ECU. no RPM signal, no injection

You're talking about the coils right? I'm new to these. I did check spark on both coils, both are strong

Checked the fuel pressure, it's at 35psi while cranking. Which is right where it should be according to the fsm. I'm stumped. Really need some more input, any other ideas?

if the ecu is getting power and a tach signal it will operate the injectors...

If all of the above is working, it could be corroded wiring connectors from the harness to the injectors.

been down this road before..........start taking the intake manifold off....its plugged injectors. I had mine rebuilt and flow tested for 70 bucks. Be a good time to pull the lower intake off and un-seize your 6 port sleeves and actuators, clean out all the crud, new gasket and you'll be good to go. Watch out for brittle vacuum hoses or replace them. Blow out fuel return line back to tank. Have fun! You'll get it!
