any ideas on how I can attach my FTP's to my front nose.............its an aftermarket nose, the connectors on my FTP's are broken. heres an pic of my nose. The material that the nose is made out of is FRP. I tried goop already!

Just get some new ones with the studs on them.

You don't want to glue something that you will have to remove later when you paint.

If there is anything left of the plastic housing that the studs set into, and you would rather reuse them vs purchasing new ones (for now) I have a trick that I have used sucessfully for years.

But seriously what you want to do is purchase a set of allen head 6mm bolts, and some 2 part epoxy. (The head on the allen bolts fits into the cavity where the stud pulled out of.) Mix the epoxy up and pour into the cavity, then set the allen head bolt into it and let dry.
Presto! You FTPs are back in use.

*be sure to use stainless bolts and nuts. If 6mm are a little too small you can use 1/4" as well. Also be sure not to tighten the FTP's too hard or you will find yourself re-doing step 1

My ftp's have been on my 87TII since 2003 with the above mentioned technique....

Elmers Gorilla glue (thats the name i think) expands and foams up, its great for puting the posts back in if some of their seat is gone.

I agree - I used JB quick to put the bolts back on - that plastic that's supposed to hold them in place is a joke (well, after 20 years, it turns into a joke).

I never reuse those posts because of the corrosion. Usually makes it hard for a nut to spin back on, and that's why they usually break off in the 1st place..

the plastic post are basically gone, I was thinking maybe to use screws from the rear to connect but it looks hard to get a screwdriver or drill in there due to the headlights in the way. I really dont wanna buy new one, too expensive.
